Rankings

Worst to best, and how we got there

Each ranking takes one category of dog gear and puts the brands in order on evidence, not on who has the biggest ad budget.

What every brand is judged on

  • Quality. Materials, hardware and how it is put together.
  • Durability. Long-term owner reports, recurring failures in low-star reviews, and what the warranty actually covers.
  • Function and fit. Adjustability, escape risk, freedom of movement, support.
  • Safety. Independent tests and certifications, recalls.
  • Value. Price against quality and expected lifespan.
  • Transparency. Who makes it and where. A supporting point, never the main argument.

Where we could not find evidence for a marker, we say so instead of guessing. We do not lab-test products ourselves, and we tell you where a verdict rests on manufacturer claims or owner reports.

What is coming first

The first rankings cover dog harnesses and dog beds, followed by crates, collars, toys, coats and leashes. They appear on our YouTube channel and in the articles on this site.

Until then, the buyer’s guide gives you the same checks to run yourself.
